Expression of Interest are invited for Head of Environmental Safeguards of PAFEN In connection with the preparation and implementation of the Project : • Validate and ensure the implementation of the environmental safeguard aspects of the Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) - site of the companies in charge of the works; • Ensure the implementation of all the provisions of the other environmental instruments (PEES, PMPP, PGMO, CPR and CPPA etc.) developed for the Project; • Participate in the development and updating of the environmental and social component of the annual work and budget plans (PTBA) and the Procurement Plan (PPM) by defining the needs for studies, training and any other activity in matters of environmental protection and ensure their implementation; • Analyze the activities and sub-projects of each component to assess the adequacy with the requirements and orientations of the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) of the Project; • Conduct, where appropriate, the environmental screening procedures for sub-projects and the preparation of the instruments that will result from the conclusion of the environmental screening process; • Ensure the validation of the environmental classification of the sub-projects by the competent structures (in accordance with the provisions of the ESMF) and the confirmation of the related mitigation measures; A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the method of Selection of Individual Consultants by open competition set out in the Procurement Regulations.
